People often wonder what is the best binocular for me? To me it is a binocular that, of course, fits comfortably in the hands, but it is also a binocular that is well balanced when I hold it. I find that a binocular that is well balanced can compensate, to some extent, for a little extra weight. I feel the ease of focusing is an important aspect for the binocular. For some a binocular that places the focusing mechanism beneath the index finger, automatically works the best. Since I often use a binocular with one hand, I cannot search for a focusing knob when I need it and, along this same line, I need a binocular that focuses smoothly with little effort. Of course, what works for my hands may not work for someone else's. You'll have to decide which binocular handling feature is most important to you. Check out more detailed information on selecting your binocular so you are able to choose what is right for you and as well as the primary need you are using it for.
